The role focuses on imaging, provisioning, performance optimization, and ensuring smooth operations across both virtual and physical infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Assess existing VDI and Windows workstation environments to define scope and improvement areas
Develop and manage imaging processes for virtual and physical machines using the imaging server
Coordinate shipment and logistics for new and replacement physical machines to minimize downtime
Create standardized procedures for provisioning and deploying VDIs and workstations
Install, configure, and maintain Windows workstations, VDIs, and TCAs
Configure VM networking (e.g., vSwitch) and manage virtual storage additions (vHD)
Troubleshoot connectivity and patching issues across workstations, TCAs, and VDIs
Implement system performance monitoring and conduct regular compliance audits
Tune and optimize VMware and Windows environments for stability and efficiency
Perform capacity planning to ensure scalability for future growth
Maintain and update administrative documentation, including backup and disaster recovery procedures
Provide technical support, collaborate with cross-functional administrators, and participate in disaster recovery planning and failover testing
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) concepts
Hands-on experience with VMware Horizon and Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops
Background in project planning, scheduling, and execution
Excellent communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical stakeholders
