They are seeking an experienced Project Engineer focused on traffic engineering to join their Transportation Division, where the role involves developing traffic solutions and managing projects while mentoring staff.

Responsibilities
Working with a team of multidisciplinary engineers
Develop traffic and transportation planning, safety, and engineering solutions for multimodal transportation projects
Complete traffic engineering studies for intersections and corridors, including traffic impact assessment for development projects
Develop plans and specifications for temporary traffic control schemes, pavement marking and signage layout, and traffic signal systems
Manage and mentor staff while serving as a task lead
Assemble a complete design package or assigned portions of a larger project
Perform quality control reviews
Attend and lead meetings with public and/or private clients
Represent MJ at industry and professional society events
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
PE Required
5-10 years of progressive traffic engineering analysis and design experience
Proficient with Synchro and SimTraffic, HCS, SIDRA
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
Working knowledge of VISSIM, Microstation, AutoCAD, ESRI ArcGIS, or Adobe Illustrator
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
Ability to effectively participate as part of a project team, develop and maintain client relations, and meet project demands and schedules
Preferred
Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification a plus
Proficient with intersection and roadway geometric layout a plus
Active Transportation, Multi-modal and transit-oriented design experience
Innovative intersections, and/or ITS experience a plus
Business Development experience preferred
Public presentation experience preferred
Experience with proposal writing, scope of work development, and budgeting
Project management experience a plus
