5+ years expNacelle Solutions is seeking a Lead Mechanical Designer to work with their Project Engineering and Management Teams. The role involves designing and constructing biogas and renewable natural gas plants, including CAD design of equipment and facility layouts, while ensuring projects are delivered with high accuracy and on time.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the development and management of Nacelle’s piping spec to conform with industry standard and reasonable best practices
Owns the development of P&ID’s for new projects and the maintenance of existing P&ID’s to document alterations from MOC process
Utilize P&ID’s to create 3D CAD models of facilities to generate isometric, prefabrication, and installation drawings for various gas plants
Navigate Navisworks models for meetings and design reviews
Create standard drawing templates and manage the evolution of templates as new designs and applications are pursued by the business
Generate accurate bill of materials for construction and assist in the procurement of pipe, valves, and fittings in accordance with Nacelle standards and project budgets
Work with administration department before, during and after all projects to provide clean and detailed expectations on behalf of customer and do everything capable to make administration successful
Proactively monitor performance on existing projects on an ongoing basis including reviewing operating parameters and results and make suggestions when necessary
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies, etc
Create one-line electric diagrams for planning and budgeting purposes
Qualification
Required
Five plus (5+) years of technical drafting and 3D modeling experience in natural gas and/or chemical processing; biogas processing industry experience a plus
Strong working knowledge of Plant3D and the creation of intelligent models
Demonstrated ability to deliver drawings in a timely fashion and be flexible to accommodate project specific needs
Ability to pass customer, company, and regulatory safety and operator qualification programs
Possess a valid driver's license and meet company insurability requirements
In depth experience and understanding of P&ID development, electric drawings and schematics, and ability to work with and convert third party drawings into CAD
Required to successfully complete a background check and drug screening prior to being hired
Computer skills of MS Office, operating systems, company software
Strong math skills (algebra, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to research various topics utilizing various methods of obtaining relevant information including the internet, industry journals, professional networking, etc
Ability to work with a team, take direction from managers, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details and follow work rules
Must be self-directed and possess the ability to work independently and perform duties with little to no supervision
Ability to speak and understand English
