Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise IT security systems across hybrid infrastructures on-premises and cloud
Implement, configure, and administer cybersecurity tools and SIEM platforms to support threat detection and monitoring
Develop and maintain secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, O365), including migrations and hardening
Apply DevSecOps practices to integrate security into development, build, and deployment processes
Create and maintain automation scripts and tools (Python preferred) for monitoring, alerting, and incident response
Support virtualization platforms and ensure secure configuration, monitoring, and maintenance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors to enhance security posture
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and analysts
Communicate complex security concepts and recommendations effectively to technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership
Ensure all systems and processes comply with federal cybersecurity frameworks, including FISMA, NIST, and CDM standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
10+ years of experience designing, installing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise IT systems
5+ years of experience at the Senior Engineer level or higher
3+ years of hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools or SIEM implementation and administration
Experience supporting hybrid infrastructures on-prem and cloud
Strong familiarity with cloud security concepts, services, and operations (AWS, Azure, O365), including migration and security hardening
Understanding of core virtualization technologies and secure configuration practices
Knowledge and experience applying DevSecOps practices to security operations
Strong scripting and automation skills, particularly Python
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying technical security concepts to diverse audiences
Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors
