Estimator (Experienced or Senior)

The Boeing Company is seeking an Estimator (Experienced or Senior) to join their team for a proprietary Air Dominance program in Hazelwood, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for developing budgetary and formal estimates and cost/price proposals for new business activities, contract changes, and follow-on work.

Responsibilities

Develops/leads estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build, and aftermarket support stages of the program
Develops, prepares and validates estimates and prices
Evaluates requests for proposal, substantiates estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals
Develops estimating and pricing methods
Evaluates and develops business cases
Performs analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)
Develops and maintains pricing models
Develops/applies/maintains rates and factors for estimating, pricing and proposals. Potential for development/application/maintenance of estimating relationships or factors in support of estimates
Performs compliance activities including providing compliant cost volumes

Required

3+ years of experience in a finance related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)
Current Secret security clearance
Experience with Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) requirements / U.S. Government contracts
Experience performing parametric estimates and data analysis
Experience performing substantiated quick-turn (1-2 weeks) Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates and tests of reasonableness

Preferred

5+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of United States Government Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Experience performing parametric estimates and data analysis
Experience performing substantiated quick-turn (1-2 weeks) Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates and tests of reasonableness
Experience with critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
