Midmarket Sales Engineer

They are seeking a Midmarket Sales Engineer to collaborate with various teams to develop validated upfit solutions and maintain communication across departments to ensure customer needs are met effectively.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Midmarket AE to understand customer needs through the FMC conduit
Work directly with FMC Upfit Engineers to validate technical feasibility, platform constraints, and solution options
Collaborate with internal engineering to confirm that recommended solutions meet design standards, safety considerations, and production feasibility
Develop accurate, validated upfit solutions aligned with timing, channel, and installation requirements
Produce high-quality quotes that meet midmarket turnaround expectations
Identify technical risks early, communicate them clearly, and provide alternative solutions when needed
Support channel recommendations through technical evaluation
Partner with distributors, RSMs, and DSAs to understand installation feasibility and field realities
Maintain clear communication with Engineering, Operations, Road Redi, Install Coordination, Supply Chain, and Pricing
Support customer transitions to A-level Fleet support when technical complexity increases

Required

3-7 years of experience in product engineering, design, technical sales, or upfit engineering
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
Must meet and maintain all requirements to be a 'Driver' as defined in Adrian Steel Fleet Corporate Driving Policy
Valid driver's license
Acceptable driving record (Adrian Steel authorized)

Preferred

BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred; combination of education and experience considered
Experience collaborating with FMC upfit engineering teams preferred
Proficiency in CAD/SolidWorks preferred
Lean Manufacturing preferred
