Engineer I- Injector Quality - J0049301
Astemo Ltd. is focused on quality improvement and quality systems development for their Fuel Injector manufacturing processes. Responsibilities
Support Production with Process Efficiency that includes COPQ.: 20%
Support Customer Requests and Concerns: 20%
New Product and Line Startup Documentation Creation: 10%
Trouble Shooting and C/M Implementation: 15%
Audit Processes and Documentation: 15%
Prepare Presentation to all Levels of Management: 5%
Prepare Data Documentation of IPPAARs and M/P Change Points: 5%
Travel to Customers, Vendors and Mother Companies: 5%
Confirm Product Characteristics and Measurement Techniques Data: 5%
Other Duties as Assigned: As needed
Support Production in Emergency Situations (equipment downtime): As needed
Brainstorm for alternative Quality Verifications: As needed: As needed
Qualification
Required
4-year College Degree in Mechanical or other Engineering, or Engineering Technology
Minimum 2 years' experience in injection molding, machining, automated and/or short cycle time assembly processes
Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties
Ability to promote and carry out the 'Astemo Philosophy' and '5 Joys'
Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, and be highly motivated
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy with Root Cause Analysis
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization
Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
Provides strong leadership to subordinate personnel
Easily interacts with various levels of associates
Analyzes technology, resource needs, market demand, and confers with all departments to assess the feasibility of projects
Improves manufacturing proficiency levels to meet plant goals and objectives
Maintains knowledge of all assigned processes, procedures, and equipment
Coordinates and recommends cost savings and efficiency ideas for the facility
High level of technical ability and ability to successfully lead projects
Self-directed and motivated, ability to work alone
Basic experience required in Microsoft Windows
Intermediate experience required in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting
Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the workday
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen
Full motor skills are required
Preferred
Basic experience in Minitab preferred
Advanced experience with Excel preferred
