Responsibilities
Manage the month-end close for Corporate entities, including key financial areas such as general ledger accounting, fixed assets, and accounts payable
Review journal entries and account reconciliations
Work with site finance teams to ensure that intercompany transactions are properly recorded and eliminating appropriately
Manage the AP function to ensure the consistent, on-time payment of invoices and employee expense reimbursements
Assist in the preparation and review of monthly budget vs. actual variance analyses and other internal management reports
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, company policies, and internal controls in a SOX environment
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and systems, implement best practices, and improve the efficiency and accuracy of month end close
Assist with quarterly and annual process for filing the Form 10-Q & 10-K
Assist with the internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to auditor questions to ensure successful audit results and compliance
Develop future leaders through talent development, training and mentoring of individuals
Qualification
Required
6+ years of experience in a combination of industry and public accounting experience with 3+ years in a corporate accounting function
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
Strong understanding of US GAAP required
SAP experience required
Advanced skills in all Microsoft Office products
Preferred
CPA preferred
MAcc a plus
OneStream experience a plus
Mining experience a plus
Strong project management skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
