Responsibilities
Maintain Oracle Fusion accounting system and General Ledger with corresponding sub-ledgers, i.e. Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory management, Etc
Lead associate in Month End Close procedures, including posting journal entries in an accurate and timely manner and preparing corresponding schedules for management review
Parter with cross-business functions to drive resolution of issues escalated by process owner and stakeholders through intra-workstream engagement
Key associate on Lease Accounting in accordance with ASC 842, as well as payroll accounting across both US and UK ledgers
Review and analyze general ledger transaction to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
Support internal and external audit functions by providing journal entry supporting documentation, balance sheet reconciliation, and process walkthrough documentation as needed
Train, mentor and provide guidance to junior associates
Assist in the development, documentation and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
Contribute to continuous improvement and implementation initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
6+ years of accounting experience
Experience preparing journal entries and manual balance sheet reconciliations
Knowledge of large general ledger software applications, e.g., Oracle Fusion
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially MS Excel)
Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and professionalism
A solutions-oriented team player with excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively use accounting knowledge to collaborate professionally with personnel at various levels within the organization to drive sound business decisions
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
Passionate and enthusiastic about remaining up-to-date on current trends and practices
