Responsibilities
Supervise and manage all aspects of bridge construction, repair, and maintenance projects from start to finish
Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring the proper deployment of manpower, equipment, and materials
Review and interpret bridge design plans and blueprints, ensuring adherence to project specifications
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards on all projects
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, inspectors, and project managers to ensure smooth operations and timely project completion
Monitor progress against schedules and budgets, proactively addressing potential issues and delays
Lead and supervise field staff, including workers, foremen, and subcontractors, ensuring efficient project workflow
Maintain detailed project records, including daily reports, timecards, and progress updates
Perform quality control checks to ensure all work meets or exceeds required standards
Ensure the proper maintenance of equipment and machinery used on site
Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Resolve any on-site conflicts, obstacles, or issues that arise in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
Manage and order materials, supplies, and equipment, coordinating timely deliveries to meet project needs
Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Work with local authorities and agencies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and other legal requirements
Qualification
Required
Experience and knowledge in ground-up bridge construction
Experience in foundations, bridge deck, concrete pile, earthwork, underground utility work, subgrade/base and paving
Ability to supervise and manage all aspects of bridge construction, repair, and maintenance projects from start to finish
Ability to oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring the proper deployment of manpower, equipment, and materials
