Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical power distribution systems for emergency, commercial, residential, lighting, and renewable applications
Utilize GIS platforms and engineering standards to produce accurate, high-quality design documentation
Conduct field measurements using laser range finders and analyze field photographs to inform design
Import and manipulate high-resolution CAD drawings within GIS systems with meticulous precision
Production of design prints and planning for construction activities
Uphold the highest standards of quality and accuracy in all deliverables
Qualification
Required
Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and practices
Understanding of electrical loading (Line side and Load side)
Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation)
Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) and other relevant standards
Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication skills for team collaboration and client interaction
Valid driver's license (and/or obtainable within three (3) months)
Minimum three (3) years of experience in Electrical Distribution Engineering (BGE experience essential, C&I, New Business and/or Turnkey experience a plus)
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Detail-oriented with strong written communication skills
