Chief Financial Officer
Northern Nevada HOPES is seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to lead and strengthen their financial operations. The CFO will oversee all financial matters, manage the finance department, and ensure compliance with government contracts and private grants while collaborating with senior leadership and the board of directors.

Responsibilities
Oversee cash, investment, and asset management
Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed
Oversee financing strategies and activities, as well as banking relationships
Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans
Oversee the Billing Department ensuring compliance, accuracy
Provide oversight of patient collections, ensuring compliance and accuracy
Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets
Develop financial business plans and forecasts
Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team
Engage the finance committee of the board of directors to develop short-, medium-, and long- term financial plans and projections
Represent the company to financial partners, including financial institutions, investors, foundation executives, auditors, public officials, etc
Remain up to date on nonprofit audit best practices and state and federal law regarding nonprofit operations
Oversee the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and function; supervise finance staff
Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures
Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for federal and state funders, foundations, and Northern Nevada HOPES board of directors; oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements
Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions
Collaborates with HR staff and CEO regarding all financial aspects of Human Resources including 401k administration, insurance coverage and payroll
Qualification
Required
Seasoned Chief Financial Officer experience
Ability to lead and strengthen financial operations
Experience overseeing compliance and recognition for government (federal and state) contracts and private grants
Experience overseeing finance department operations
Experience managing financial components of human resources such as 401k management, payroll, and insurance coverage
Ability to adapt to a continually evolving environment
Ability to thrive in an autonomous and deadline-oriented workplace
Experience managing finance staff
Knowledge of quality and risk management standards and policies
Experience overseeing cash, investment, and asset management
Experience with cash flow planning and ensuring availability of funds
Experience with financing strategies and activities, as well as banking relationships
Ability to develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses
Experience overseeing billing department ensuring compliance and accuracy
Experience providing oversight of patient collections
Experience coordinating the development and monitoring of budgets
Ability to develop financial business plans and forecasts
Experience participating in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team
Experience engaging with finance committee of the board of directors
Experience representing the company to financial partners
