Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional HR experience from two or more mid-sized employers (300 to 1,500 employees)
Extensive hands-on involvement with a variety of traditional HR responsibilities
Broad working knowledge of all aspects of HR
Experience with employment laws: compliance, reporting, policies, handbooks, internal investigations, state-specific laws/benefits
Experience with HR Information System (HRIS): general use, reporting tools, new system implementation
Experience with payroll processing, review/reconciliation, reporting
Experience with recruitment: postings, interviews, onboarding, orientation, applicant tracking system (ATS)
Experience with job assessment, job descriptions
Experience with benefits: insurance, FSA/HSA/HRA, retirement plans (401k, ESOP), paid time off
Experience with leaves of absence

Ability and willingness to travel out of state and overnight a few times per year
Preferred
Supervisory experience and/or demonstrated leadership qualities
Experience in unrelated industries such as construction or manufacturing, especially with a mobile, multi-state workforce
