Responsibilities
Application Developer provides application software development services or technical support for applications such as Vantage-One, wmA and DSS
Reviews system requirements and business processes and develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications
Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications
Analyzes requirements and maintains, tests, and integrates application components
Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 7 years of experience in application development or technical support for mainframe applications such as Vantage-One, wmA and DSS
Proficiency in mainframe programming languages such as COBOL, JCL, and CICS
Strong understanding of mainframe databases like DB2 with experience with mainframe tools and utilities such as TSO, ISPF, and SDSF
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent experience
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Strong communication skills to interact with business users and technical teams
Preferred
Experience in Annuity Insurance (LOMA Certifications in FSRI or FLMI are a plus)
Experience with Agile software development
