Responsibilities
Take ownership of fleet maintenance and repairs, start to finish
Diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks, with focus on Cummins and International platforms
Handle aftertreatment and emissions systems diagnostics (DPF, regen issues, fault codes)
Perform and manage preventative maintenance schedules, DVIR items, and DOT readiness
Prioritize work orders based on uptime needs and safety
Coordinate parts ordering and vendor support when needed
Maintain clean shop workflow, safety practices, and repair documentation standards
Communicate clearly with leadership on truck status, repair timelines, and upcoming needs
Qualification
Required
Strong heavy-duty diesel diagnostic experience, ideally 5+ years
Proven experience on Cummins and International engines and systems (certifications a plus)
Confident with scan tools and diagnostic software, and comfortable chasing electrical issues
Able to work independently and make decisions, this is a lead role
Solid organization and communication skills
Valid driver's license, CDL is a plus
Own basic tools required, specialty tools provided or supported depending on agreement
Preferred
Fleet maintenance environment
Aftertreatment troubleshooting and root-cause repair (not just forced regens)
DOT inspection process familiarity
Experience mentoring or guiding other technicians
