Information Technology Internship
Camden County Board of Commissioners is seeking an IT Intern for their Human Firewall Project. The intern will assist in strengthening the County's cybersecurity awareness program by supporting phishing simulations, tracking performance data, and developing training materials.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Assist in planning, launching, and monitoring three phishing simulation campaigns using the KnowBe4 platform
Collect and analyze data from campaigns, including click rates, report rates, and trends. Prepare and present progress updates for County leadership
Work with the County’s AV Engineer to produce short cybersecurity training videos
Design educational materials such as posters, email templates, and quick-reference guides
Support brief training sessions for staff to promote cybersecurity best practices
Contribute to the creation of a County-branded cybersecurity awareness toolkit to be used beyond the internship period
Qualification
Required
Current enrollment in a college or university program, preferably in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field
Basic understanding of information technology and cybersecurity concepts
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to learn and use new software tools, including phishing simulation platforms
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and strong organizational skills
Preferred
Creative skills in graphic design, video production, or digital media (Canva, Adobe Spark, or similar)
