Brand Manager (Beverage Industry)

Muller Inc. is a premier distributor of beer products in the Philadelphia market, seeking a Brand Manager to join their team in NE Philadelphia. The role involves planning, executing, and analyzing marketing efforts to enhance company revenue and brand, while collaborating with suppliers and sales departments.

Responsibilities

Ensure brand volume and distribution goals are met while remaining within marketing budgets. Work in concert with our mutual brand/package objectives
Create marketing programs to meet supplier expectations. Proactively work with assigned suppliers to design, implement, track and evaluate incentives. Provide periodic updates to the Sales personnel related to each program or MBO. This can be achieved in shared communications or presented to the group
Review progress of goals with sales departments every month. All incentive updates should be shared with the Sales department in the monthly Marketing or provided periodically through shared communication
Make trade calls with supplier reps and Muller Inc. personnel as necessary to achieve being active in the trade no less than three (3) days per week
Plan ad feature strategies for crucial advertising accounts
Establish sales, display, and distribution objectives for brand programs and incentives and monitor results
Provide the sales department with up-to-date selling fact sheets and brand information
Assist in training and development of Sales personnel
Monitor merchandising activities; evaluate and report if properly executed
Provide pricing recommendations as needed to ensure the necessary profit margins
Ensure timely arrival of premiums and point of sale
Prepare all in-house and supplier reports on a timely basis
Maintain an excellent working professional relationship with all supplier personnel
Cooperate with supplier contacts and meet all reasonable supplier requests for meetings and data whenever possible
Responsible for recording all expenses properly to ensure timely repayment of all co-op and tactical program expenses
Plan and execute promotions and special events on a cost-effective basis
Work with the plan for local advertising strategy as developed by the Marketing Department or Brewery

Required

Previous experience in market research or other related fields
Proactively and enthusiastically plan and execute promotional activities that foster meaningful consumer and retail engagement
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to work well in teams
Strong computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite
BA/BS degree with a minimum of 7 years field sales experience, or equivalent required
Strong project management skills
Strong interpersonal skills
