The Accounting Technician will process payments, submit purchase orders, and assist with financial processes while providing customer service to vendors and staff.
Responsibilities
Processing payments
Submitting purchase order requests
Processing change orders
Conducting a quarterly review of open purchase orders
Closing purchase orders
Assisting with PCARD activities
Exercising quality control over financial processes
Researching payments and other financial processes
Performing redistributions and other corrections
Assisting with fiscal year and project close out efforts
Initiating new supplier requests and changes to existing suppliers
Performing project archiving duties
Providing customer service to vendors and staff
Qualification
Required
High School diploma
three (3) years of work experience related to assigned area
experience with initiating purchase orders and/or invoice payments
familiarity with financial software
proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
excellent oral and written communication skills
experience resolving financial discrepancies
strong problem-solving skills
strong customer service skills
helpful approach and a willingness to assist staff and vendors
Preferred
experience and comfort with financial and/or project management software solutions
prior work experience in Oracle financial software
