Responsibilities
Shadow and Assist: Work alongside our Solar Designer/Estimator on commercial projects
Create Real-World Designs: Produce solar layouts, detailed proposals, and one-line diagrams for actual projects
Gain working knowledge of all system components and equipment involved in the design and completion of solar installations
Master Industry Tools : Build proficiency in HelioScope, BlueBeam Revu, Energy Toolbase, SolarEdge Designer, McCormick Estimating Software and Excel
Apply Technical Knowledge: Research utility data and integrate building/electrical code requirements into designs
Collaborate with Experts: Partner with sales consultants and project managers to deliver optimal solutions
Contribute and Learn: Take on additional tasks to support the design process and office operations
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a master's program in engineering, physics, renewable energy, or related field
Strong interest in a career in solar design and estimation
Ability to work on-site in Goodfield, IL (reliable transportation required)
Detail-oriented, organized, and strong communication skills
Preferred
Familiarity with design software and principles
