The role involves creating, designing, maintaining, and editing various technical documents, ensuring adherence to standards and usability. Responsibilities also include conducting research, collaborating with analysts, and maintaining document control for the office.
Responsibilities
Compose, design, and edit documentation based on input from stakeholders and subject matter experts, including memos, technical documents, standard operating procedures (SOPs), statements of work, and training documents
Conduct research on pertinent topics, then translate that information into artifacts geared toward general audiences
Collaborate with analysts to conduct organizational analyses, propose new processes, procedures, and tools, and prepare job aids and manuals to assist programs to operate more efficiently and effectively
Maintain central document control for the office and maintain an accurate and current library of technical resources and documentation
Generate reports based on tracked data to determine outcomes and effectiveness following completion of tasks, such as training courses
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen
Active DoD Secret or higher security clearance
Must be very fluent in written and spoken English
A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in technical writing
BS/BA or higher
Preferred
BA/BS or higher preferred
Experience with government procurement processes, such as acquisition policy and procedures, is preferred but not required
Knowledge of basic accounting skills is a plus
