Assembly & Repair Technician

Responsibilities

Assemble and test hydraulic assemblies including valves, cartridges, gearboxes, power units, and custom hydraulic integrated circuits (HIC)
Electric motor and drive assembly, repair, and troubleshooting
Evaluation, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of various hydraulic equipment including pumps, motors, and valves
Opportunities with electrical wiring, fabrication, and welding
Work in partnership with internal departments to meet the customer's service and support needs
Assist and support various warehouse and service center functions on an as needed basis
Stay current with new product and service requirements for all products Kraft represents
Service center maintenance (filtration and test equipment)
Stay current on vendor service training (travel may be required) and available e-learning courses

Required

Positive attitude and willingness to learn is a must
Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
Strong communication skills
Attention to detail, cleanliness, and quality workmanship
Closely follow manuals and procedures to perform daily duties
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area
Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and company policies
Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, stoop, kneel, bend
Perform other duties as directed or required
A strong mechanical interest and high level of mechanical aptitude is a must
Successful performance on pre-employment tests is required
The incumbent must be able to pass any required drug test, new hire physical examination, and background check
The incumbent must be able to maintain complete confidentiality of any information s/he encounters

Preferred

Ability to interpret schematics, CAD drawings, and parts diagrams is preferred
A 2-year technical degree or equivalent level of experience preferred
Preferential consideration to those who hold an International Fluid Power Society certification, but not required
