Responsibilities
Prepare draft and final estate planning document packages with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Maintain clear, consistent communication to ensure smooth file progression and production flow
Draft deeds accurately, including all required schedules, legal descriptions, and supporting documentation
Research property information and confirm deed requirements based on county and state-specific rules
Communicate with county offices as needed to ensure compliance and accuracy in deed preparation
Format, proofread, and prepare estate planning documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and professionalism
Follow firm drafting standards, compendium guidelines, and attorney instructions
Develop and strengthen drafting skills through ongoing collaboration with the attorneys by incorporating feedback
Maintain clean, well-organized digital files with proper version control and naming conventions
Qualification
Required
Strong drafting, proofreading, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and communicate proactively
High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word is required, including heavy document formatting, styles, templates, track changes, and managing complex, multi-document files
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create, review, and update spreadsheets accurately
High level of overall computer proficiency, including comfort navigating multiple software platforms, document management systems, cloud-based tools, and firm workflow systems
Ability to troubleshoot basic technology issues independently and adapt quickly to new software
