Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain test automation scripts using Appium with Java for mobile and/or web apps
Lead and execute automated testing focused on digital analytics (tags, events, page views, funnels, etc.)
Collaborate with product, analytics, and development teams to understand tracking requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
Analyze test results, identify defects, and validate issues related to digital analytics data accuracy and integrity
Enhance and maintain the test automation framework, especially for digital analytics scenarios and data validation
Ensure test scripts are maintainable, reusable, and scalable to support evolving features and analytics instrumentation
Investigate and troubleshoot software defects identified during test execution
Monitor and report testing progress, coverage, and defect metrics to stakeholders
Research and evaluate new tools and methodologies in test automation and digital analytics testing
Mentor junior QA team members and share best practices in Appium automation and analytics testing
Qualification
Required
5–7 years of experience in software testing / QA, with strong focus on test automation
Strong hands-on experience with Appium + Java for UI and functional test automation
Experience in Digital Analytics Testing (verifying events/tags, data layers, tracking specs, analytics reports)
Solid understanding of automation frameworks, test design, and scripting best practices
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr – or similar)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Preferred
Experience validating analytics with tools like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Tealium, GTM, Snowplow, etc
Experience with CI/CD integration of automation tests (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
Exposure to API testing and data validation for analytics backends
