Responsibilities
Assists in the operations for the Pharmacy Automated Dispensing Machines (Omnicell)
Oversees adequate par levels of non-controlled substance medications are maintained in the ADMs as documented through Par vs. Usage reports and as evidenced by lack of inventory complaints from nursing and/or pharmacy areas
Works with Pharmacy Computer Support and BioMed to follow up on technical or mechanical issues involving Omnicells
Provides support for the inventory specialist during annual inventory (non-controlled substance medications)
Create new Omnicell configuration for non-controlled substances medications. Work with the Inventory Specialist (Controlled Substance/Omnicell) to coordinate the addition of new Omnicell
Ensure Controlled Substance Compliance
Documentation and Report
Participates in the education of pharmacy students and new employees as documented by signature on the objectives and competencies form
Informs manager in a timely manner regarding any compliant issues
Performs other essential functions
Qualification
Required
H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
RPHT-TX - Reg Pharmacy Technician – TX by the State Board of Pharmacy required
Preferred
2 years pharmacy technician experience preferred
