Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate high-stakes B2B SaaS contracts with some of the world’s largest law firms (e.g., DLA Piper) and tech enterprises
Provide business-oriented legal guidance to our AI researchers and engineers to help shape the product roadmap safely and innovatively
Navigate privacy (GDPR/CCPA), security reviews, and regulatory landscapes across multiple jurisdictions
Help build the policies and processes that allow a high-growth startup to scale from 400 teams to thousands
Develop creative solutions for novel legal issues arising from generative AI

Qualification

JD & Bar AdmissionB2B SaaS ExpertiseAI regulation experienceIT security backgroundData privacy knowledgeExceptional writing skillsCommunication skillsProblem solvingStrategic thinking

Required

J.D. from an accredited school and qualified to practice in New York
5+ years at a top-tier law firm and/or high-growth in-house environment
Proven track record negotiating complex B2B SaaS agreements
Exceptional writing skills and the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for non-lawyers

Preferred

Experience with AI regulation and product counseling
Background in IT security, data privacy, or corporate law
Admitted to practice before the USPTO
