Lab Technician

ASWF - American Standard Window Film is seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to support laboratory operations by conducting tests, analyzing samples, and maintaining lab equipment. Responsibilities

Conducting various tests on film materials, including raw materials, in-process products, and finished films
Performing tests to evaluate material and product quality, such as pH testing, water testing, and particle size analysis
Using and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments
Analyzing data and reporting findings
Ensuring that products meet quality standards and specifications
Identifying and addressing any deviations or issues in the manufacturing process
Maintaining accurate records of tests, results, and procedures
Preparing reports and documentation as needed
Adhering to safety protocols and regulations in the laboratory
Maintaining a clean and organized work area
Conduct routine laboratory tests and experiments following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Analyze samples using various laboratory techniques, including microscopy, spectrometry, chromatography, and other analytical methods
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate test results
Document and record all test results accurately in logs and databases
Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and specimens for analysis
Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment
Assist in the research and development of new testing procedures
Handle, store, and dispose of hazardous materials according to regulations
Collaborate with scientists, researchers, and other lab personnel to support ongoing projects
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and quality control standards
Assisting with the development and improvement of products and processes
Providing technical support to other teams
Staying updated with industry trends and advancements

Required

Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting (preferred but not always required)
Proficiency in using laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, pipettes, spectrophotometers, and chromatographs
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Knowledge of safety and regulatory guidelines, such as OSHA and GLP (Good Laboratory Practice)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent organizational and documentation skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

1-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting (preferred but not always required)
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations
