Responsibilities
Drive and support General Accounting and Indirect Tax operations for the US and Canada
Manage assigned accounting activities and deadlines
Provide training and support to team members and system users
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX controls
Lead and support internal/external audits
Collaborate with business partners to identify process improvements
Monitor SLAs and escalate issues for timely resolution
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
Lead and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting and Finance operations
Strong knowledge of accounting policies, procedures, and controls
Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Technologically savvy with experience in SAP, BPC, and advanced Excel
Effective communicator with strong presentation and influencing skills
Adaptable and flexible in a dynamic business environment
Collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset
Preferred
CPA certification and public accounting experience
Experience in a Shared Services environment
