Human Resources Director
Oakes Auto Group is a locally owned and rapidly growing dealership group serving the Kansas City metro. They are seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to lead and oversee all HR functions across the organization, partnering with ownership and executive leadership to build strong people strategies and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities
Lead all HR functions including employee relations, onboarding, training, performance management, and compliance
Develop, maintain, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and best practices across all locations
Serve as a strategic partner to ownership and executive leadership on people-related initiatives and decisions
Oversee and support recruiting and HR support teams
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Handle sensitive employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion
Support leadership development, succession planning, and retention strategies
Partner with payroll and finance to ensure accuracy and compliance
Drive a consistent and positive employee experience across all stores
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in an HR Director, HR Manager, or senior HR leadership role
Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
Strong computer skills and experience with HR systems
Valid driver's license with a clean or acceptable driving record
Ability to pass a standard background check
Strong reliability and consistent attendance
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment
Preferred
Experience supporting multi-location or multi-entity organizations
Familiarity with the following platforms is a plus: EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System), Hireology, Culture Index
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or similar certification preferred
