Responsibilities

Lead AWS data/cloud architecture, design, and implementation
Drive API-driven data ingestion and pipeline optimization
Ensure security, VPC networking, performance, and cost best practices
Guide Python/PySpark frameworks and data lake/warehouse solutions
Oversee API integrations, DevOps/CI/CD, and HIPAA compliance
Mentor teams and review designs

Required

15+ Years of experience
AWS expertise (Hands-On Preferred; Theory OK with Growth Mindset)
S3, Glue, Lambda, EC2, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudFormation/Terraform
Athena, Redshift, VPC (exposure/theory welcome)
AWS data engineering fundamentals; API ingestion design
Data lakes/warehouses, ETL/ELT, modeling/tuning
Python theory (hands-on a plus); PySpark familiarity (limited OK)
Large-scale data handling
Microservices, REST APIs, event-driven patterns
Recent Healthcare projects; HIPAA/privacy knowledge
Team leadership, Agile, reviews, stakeholder communication
AWS Solutions Architect (Assoc/Prof) and/or Data Analytics/Engineer/Developer certification

Preferred

Python/PySpark, Athena/Redshift/VPC, API hands-on
Docker/K8s/EKS, BI tools, ML/AI on AWS
