Responsibilities
Execute expert-level system diagnostics, root cause analysis, and startup protocols for generator sets and associated electrical infrastructure
Maintain technical proficiency in emerging power technologies including energy storage systems, renewable energy integration, and hybrid platform configurations
Function as the engineering resource for clients throughout project lifecycle—from initial consultation through installation and ongoing operational phases
Perform comprehensive facility evaluations and engineer customized power solutions aligned with electrical demand characteristics and operational parameters
Partner cross-functionally with commercial teams, design engineers, and service personnel to ensure seamless project execution and system delivery
Oversee technical documentation, regulatory compliance verification, and acceptance testing procedures
Develop technical competency within field service teams through hands-on coaching and knowledge transfer on power system fundamentals
Contribute to creation of instructional content and engineering reference materials
Demonstrate independent judgment and self-directed problem resolution with limited oversight
Manage competing priorities driven by client needs while achieving departmental performance targets
Qualification
Required
7+ years direct power generation sector experience and technical training, with preference given to those with heavy equipment background; equivalent blend of education and field experience considered
Four-year degree from an accredited institution in a relevant technical discipline
Solid foundation in electrical engineering principles or demonstrable hands-on technical equivalency in power systems
Working knowledge of generator synchronization and load-sharing configurations
Capability to troubleshoot programmable logic control systems and interpret controller logic
Strong verbal and written communication abilities paired with analytical problem-solving aptitude
Proven track record of both autonomous work execution and collaborative team contribution
Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout assigned regional territory on a regular basis
