This role involves providing direct patient care, supporting unit activities, and contributing to clinical research studies involving various patient demographics.

Responsibilities
The Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards
The Level II Registered Nurse contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level
The Level II Registered Nurse supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities

Perform clinical aspects of research studies involving infants, children, adults, and families
Responsibilities include: collection of clinical specimens, blood draws, specimen processing, investigational drug administration, and recording accurate data collection
The Clinical Research Center serves primarily outpatients, with occasional overnight study visits
Qualification
Required
One year minimum as an RN in acute care
Experience in IV and phlebotomy skills a plus
Pediatric experience helpful
Demonstrates flexibility, commitment to teamwork, excellent communication and organizational skills
