Responsibilities

Leading a team of obsolescence engineers to perform surveillance and determine innovative mitigation strategies to minimize risk and impacts to the wider THAAD program’s commitments
Coordinating with multiple Lockheed Martin facilities and functional groups as well as with Global Supply Chain to ensure fully compliant obsolescence surveillance is performed by all THAAD suppliers
Performing analyses to determine impacts and work with a multifunctional team to perform Strategic Mitigation studies to drive advanced solutions that support Program objectives, including support to bid and proposal activities
Maintaining direct and regular contact with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including the senior Lockheed Martin leadership and government customers
Providing daily guidance to early and mid-career engineers

Required

Experience in a project management or technical leadership role
Prior experience involving parts and/or software obsolescence, lifecycle management or product sustainment
Willingness to travel minimum 4x per year to support quarterly reviews with customer and LM executives
Willing and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required

Preferred

Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Materials Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
Thorough understanding of Production and Post-Production Obsolescence Surveillance and Mitigation techniques (for example, Department of Defense SD-22 and SD-26, IEC 62402, or SAE-STD-0016)
Strong leadership skills to lead geographically separated multifunctional surveillance teams
Strong communication skills to lead key meetings with customer and LM executives
Experience with Missile Defense Agency customer
Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience, including: define surveillance budget requirements for applicable proposals, manage Estimate to Complete (ETC) and charging for surveillance accounts, develop Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) for Proposals, and request Financial Exposure Authorizations (FEAs) as required
Active or Current Secret clearance
