Responsibilities
Drive end-to-end design and implementation of product requirements including task break-down, delivery, testing, monitoring, and maintenance
Consistently generate simple and elegant designs, and write high-quality code that can be easily understood and leveraged by others
Collaborate closely with product, design, and the rest of engineering to turn feature/product specs into reality
Influence the features and direction of the platform with your own ideas and proactively identify opportunities to improve business processes
Run the full software development lifecycle - problem definition, design, development, testing, demoing and supporting production use of the features you own
Balance immediate business objectives against long-term architectural vision
Qualification
Required
2+ years industry experience as a Software Engineer
Experience architecting distributed and maintainable systems
Golang - you know the Go standard library inside and out
Designing API GraphQL and REST
Postgres and designing database schemas
Deep fluency with SOLID design principles and how to apply them in Go
Strong degree of autonomy; can go from an open-ended problem to a well-reasoned design with minimal input
Extensive experience with unit and integration testing
You know Git inside and out
Preferred
Prior experience building, launching and maintaining products in a fast-paced environment and at scale
Enjoying working cross-functionally and collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders
Grit and adaptability; ability to thrive working with an early-stage team and navigating the unknown
