Senior Fund Accountant
Responsibilities
Assist with liquidity management, including cash transfers between intercompany accounts
Review general ledger journal entries, monthly/quarterly close workbooks and wire transfers
Compile and review of quarterly external financial reports and year-end financial statements
Compile and review of quarterly capital account statements
Review capital calls, distributions, and Asset Management Fees calculations as well as corresponding notices to investors
Ensure compliance with investment fund legal documents, i.e. partnership agreement
Act as a resource during the annual audit by providing supporting documentation as requested
Evaluate and continuously enhance existing procedures related to the Fund Accounting department
Continuously explore technology-based solutions for investment management platform and accounting, providing paths to increased efficiencies where applicable
Initiate and manage procedural changes where necessary and take ownership of all relevant processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
A minimum of 5 years of combined experience in Fund Administration and financial services/accounting, including tax and audit functions
Proficiency with fund accounting software such as Geneva, InvestOne, VPM, and FundCount
Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with both clients and colleagues internally and externally
Preferred
CPA or CFA designation is preferred, though not required
