LHH is collaborating with a small Construction company dedicated to providing exceptional value and making a difference locally. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join their finance team, responsible for day-to-day financial operations and compliance with various accounting regulations.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day financial operations including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, bank deposits, grant billing, bank deposits etc.)
Handle certified payroll
Managing financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
Compliance with filing deadlines for payroll tax returns, sales tax returns, W2s, 1099s and other required filings
Compliance with account policies and regulatory requirements
Monthly and annual close process to ensure timely, accurate reporting
Monitoring of cash levels
Analysis of monthly financial results and reporting to management
Coordination with independent auditor to complete the annual audit and provide information for other audits as required
Develop and manage the annual budget including preparation of periodic budget forecasts
Maintaining complete filing system to support financial records, implement document disposal policy annually

Required

Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in the Construction industry
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
Bachelor's degree in accounting in finance or accounting, CPA a plus
3+ years working in accounting
Ability to work and effectively communicate with leadership staff and board members
Organized and detail-oriented
Outstanding communicator both verbally and written
