Founding Principal
The B Suite is a staffing and consulting agency for schools and education organizations, and they are seeking a Founding Principal for Puzzle Pieces Learning Academy PCS. The Principal will lead instructional practices and support staff to enhance student learning outcomes and foster a culture of rigorous education.

Responsibilities
Develops and implements coherent systems of curriculum, instruction, and assessment that promote the mission, vision, and core values of Puzzle Pieces Learning Academy PCS, embody high expectations for student learning, align with academic standards, and are culturally responsive
Develops pedagogical and programmatic plans, sets key objectives and measurable benchmarks that are coherent, aligned, data-driven, and address the learning needs of all students
Utilizes multiple data-based indicators to inform, drive change, and assess progress in instructional practices
Conducts regular formal and informal observations and gives specific, actionable feedback aligned to the Danielson Framework for Effective Teaching and school priorities
Develops the professional, instructional, and pedagogical knowledge and capacity of school personnel
Provides tools, protocols, and professional development opportunities to strengthen school teams
Promotes effective use of technology in teaching and learning
Engages in professional activities that deepen content and pedagogical knowledge
Models the use of personal growth goals for professional development
Engages staff in development, implementation, and evaluation of school-wide performance plans
Implements organizational structures for selection and retention of high-quality staff
Promotes leadership opportunities and employs distributive leadership style
Utilizes data to assess effectiveness of staffing patterns and organizational structures
Leverages staff potential to maximize student outcomes
Develops and implements clear vision promoting supportive learning environment
Ensures stakeholder understanding of school goals and priorities
Engages with diverse backgrounds through cultural proficiency and equity lens
Ensures equitable access to effective teachers and resources
Cultivates inclusive, caring school community
Develops school-based systems aligned with data, priorities, and goals
Strategically aligns people, money, and time to drive student achievement
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in education or related field from accredited college/university
Administration 1 & 2 certification or eligible for certification prior to school opening in 2026
Five years of school-based leadership experience (department chair, instructional coach, or administrative role)
Demonstrated experience with behavioral intervention and special education programs
Proven ability to develop and implement culturally responsive pedagogy
Track record of measurable gains in student achievement
Experience in school-based budget management and resource allocation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in data analysis and technology applications
Preferred
Experience in organizational development within K-12 settings
Background in urban education, DEI and community engagement
Experience with charter school systems and compliance
Knowledge of restorative practices and positive behavior support systems
Strong background in data-driven instruction and assessment
Experience with project-based learning and innovative instructional models
Demonstrated success in teacher coaching and development
Bilingual abilities a plus
