Responsibilities
CNC Programming: Develop and validate CNC programs for various machining operations
Simulation and Debugging: Perform CNC program simulations and debug issues to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Machine Setup: Set up CNC machines, including selecting and installing appropriate tools and fixtures
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC programming and machine operations
Process Development: Develop and test machining processes to optimize performance and quality
First Piece Prove Out: Conduct first piece prove out to verify program accuracy and machine setup
Technical Support: Provide technical support for CNC machine operations and programming
Data Analysis: Analyze machining data to identify trends and provide insights for process improvements
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of CNC programming and setup processes
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and operations teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with export control regulations and stay informed about changes in these regulations
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Qualification
Required
High School diploma (preferred: 4-year degree in engineering or 2-year technical degree in machining)
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Proficiency in NX CNC Programming (3+1 axis)
Experience with Haas and Fanuc controls
Working knowledge of Vericut
On-machine setup experience
Knowledge of Renishaw probing macros
Macro variable programming knowledge
Strong problem-solving skills
Communication skills
Ability to work in fast paced environment
Passionate about continuous improvement and applying LEAN principles
Preferred
Experience machining heat-resistant super alloys
Power generation or aerospace experience
