Nesco Resource is a leading firm in New York City seeking an Immigration Paralegal to assist in preparing non-immigrant and immigrant visa applications for clients. The role involves managing high-volume corporate client accounts, compiling immigration filings, and writing detailed supporting documentation.

Responsibilities

Manage high-volume corporate client accounts and work closely with client to provide comprehensive immigration services
Compile and maintain records of immigration filings, other documentation, and records of activity on behalf of clients
Review immigration regulations and be able to apply them to various case scenarios
Perform research using all available immigration research tools including government agencies' websites
Write detailed and complex supporting argumentation
Enter case information into case management system
Exhibit the ability to effectively multi-task, meet deadlines, and provide solutions in a fast-paced office setting
Demonstrate good organizational skills for prioritizing workload
Complete a minimum of 1400 billable hours annually
Are comfortable working in the office every day, with the potential to work a hybrid schedule after training

Required

Legal experience required, Paralegal experience preferred
A Bachelor's Degree in a field emphasizing writing or communication
Superior writing/editing skills for complex support letters and strong written and oral communication skills – Please submit a writing sample with your job application
Experience with MS Office and expertise with computer-assisted legal resources
The ability to manage multiple high-volume priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional, cooperative, positive, and flexible attitude
Exhibit the ability to effectively multi-task, meet deadlines, and provide solutions in a fast-paced office setting
Demonstrate good organizational skills for prioritizing workload
Complete a minimum of 1400 billable hours annually

Preferred

Experience in business and family-based immigration (preferred not required)
