Southcoast Health is a not-for-profit health system providing comprehensive healthcare in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. They are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for their in-house travel team to coordinate total nursing care for patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab, participating in patient and family teaching while providing leadership within the patient care unit.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients
Participating in patient and family teaching
Providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit
Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served

Qualification

RN LicensureCath Lab nursing experienceBasic Life Support (BLS)Telemetry interpretationPC-based applicationsEpic experiencePatient care coordinationPatientFamily teachingFloating to other unitsLeadership skills

Required

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required
Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required
Minimum of one year of Cath Lab nursing experience required
Competent in reading and interpreting basic telemetry strips
Ability to efficiently float to other like-units for patient assignments is required
Working knowledge and experience with PC-based applications
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
