Part Time Float Youth Development Professional (YDP)
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northern Indiana Corridor is seeking a Float Youth Development Professional (YDP) to ensure high-quality youth programming at multiple elementary school sites. This role involves providing flexible staffing support, engaging with youth and their families, and implementing activities aligned with the organization's core program areas.

Responsibilities
Provide direct youth development and program support at assigned elementary school–based Club sites, flexing between locations as organizational needs require
Work collaboratively with Club Directors and site staff to plan, organize, and implement Club curriculum, programs, and activity schedules, including small-group, large-group, and individual activities
Maintain a consistent, reliable presence during all assigned hours of operation; adaptability and dependability are key to success in this float role
Support holistic programming in fast-paced, energetic environments while ensuring continuity of care for members across sites
Facilitate developmentally appropriate programming that addresses the needs, interests, and characteristics of elementary-aged members
Implement effective youth development strategies that promote engagement, positive behavior, and social-emotional growth
Enforce the Club’s safety, guidance, and discipline policies consistently and compassionately at all sites
Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with Club parents, family members, school personnel, volunteers, and fellow staff
Serve as a positive role model by maintaining appropriate attire, boundaries, communication, and professional conduct
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and planning meetings as scheduled
Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment conducive to youth development
Complete required reporting, documentation, and administrative tasks accurately and on time
Respond promptly and professionally to written and electronic communications
Travel between sites as required and operate a vehicle safely
Perform other duties as assigned to support Club operations and staffing continuity
Qualification
Required
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; some post-secondary education preferred
Experience working with youth (e.g., recreation, coaching, tutoring, teaching, or youth programs)
Strong ability to engage elementary-aged youth consistently and positively
Working knowledge of age-appropriate games, activities, and youth development practices
Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments, staff teams, and program structures
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and other web- and non-web–based computer applications
Reliable transportation and ability to travel between assigned sites; eligibility for monthly mileage stipend
Ability to move, walk, run, bend, reach, and stoop while supervising and engaging youth
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds
Ability to perform gross and fine motor tasks (grasping, twisting, handling small objects)
Ability to work around cleaning chemicals, environmental dust, mist, or noise
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where noise and stress levels may be high
Ability to read, complete documentation, and assist children with written & hands-on activities
Ability to interface professionally with a diverse population of children, families, staff, volunteers, and school partners
Preferred
Some post-secondary education preferred
CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
