Responsibilities
Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives
Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability
Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials and components
Prevent shortages by analyzing material allocations and planning purchase orders and supply chain transfers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create production plans and schedules
Utilize ERP systems (Syspro or similar) and lead MRP functionality implementation
Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes and reduce costs
Monitor KPIs and lead reporting initiatives to identify improvement opportunities
Oversee procurement, sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management
Oversee two direct reports
Qualification
Required
5+ years in supply chain management in manufacturing a food-related industry
Strong knowledge of inventory control, production planning, and MRP
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and process improvement techniques
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
Preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish
Experience in a USDA-inspected plant
ERP systems (Syspro preferred)
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, reporting)
