EMCOR Government Services, Inc. is a leading provider of facility support services, specializing in government and commercial clients. They are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee engineering operations and maintenance of a complex of buildings in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

Operate all building systems in a safe and efficient manner

Perform assigned preventive maintenance, reactive maintenance, capital alterations and utility tasks

Respond as required to emergency situations

Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance procedures and schedules on facility mechanical equipment

Chemically treat water systems as required, utilizing a designated water treatment service

Cooperate with Client personnel in laying out maintenance schedules to agree with plant and system operating schedules

Provide necessary assistance and advice in the maintenance engineer's area of expertise to other plant personnel when required

Stay informed of mechanical maintenance procedures and developments in plant equipment and operations

Prepare reports and keep records as required

Actively assist the Lead Engineer in implementing other activities such as safety and fire protection

Qualification

Universal CFC LicenseMechanical operations experienceChillersBoilers expertiseWater treatment knowledgeFrench language ability

Required

Shall possess a Universal CFC License

Shall possess experience in mechanical and operations involving chillers, boilers, heat exchangers, heavy duty pumps, compressors, instruments, diesel engineers, control valves, cooling towers, refrigeration equipment and other similar equipment

Preferred

Ability to understand the French Language is a plus
