Responsibilities

Assess process capabilities and prioritize improvement opportunities on complex projects
Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, tooling, and automation
Execute functional deliverables aligned with PDP/TDP, Project Management, and Quality Systems
Author and contribute to technical reports, validations, and qualifications, capturing experimental results
Ensure visibility, tracking, and closure of process issues (yield, cost, capability, etc.) in alignment with PDP milestones
Evaluate external and emerging technologies and identify opportunities for internal implementation
Develop strategic roadmaps for technology adoption, including business cases, risk assessments, and implementation plans
Contribute to manufacturing technology strategies for assigned projects
Write, review, and execute validation protocols and reports for new processes
Participate in technical and business reviews, preparing and presenting data-driven recommendations
Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to engineering documentation and print packages
Partner cross-functionally to develop design specifications, test methods, and material selections
Contribute to intellectual property submissions as appropriate
Train and provide work direction to technicians and support manufacturing personnel during prototype builds and validation activities

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Minimum 4 years of professional engineering experience in Process Development, Manufacturing, or Product Development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
Hands-on mechanical aptitude
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, DFM, Six Sigma, or similar engineering methodologies
Prior experience in the medical device industry or another highly regulated industry
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
Demonstrated success working in technically demanding, cross-functional environments
