Responsibilities
Design, build, and ship high-velocity features for Ally’s proprietary shipper TMS, with a focus on usability, performance, and reliability
Translate real-world logistics workflows into intuitive, scalable software that customers rely on daily
Act as both product manager and engineer—identifying opportunities, defining requirements, and executing without waiting for perfect direction
Leverage modern development tools (Replit, Cursor, Claude, and similar) to rapidly prototype, test, and release new functionality
Collaborate directly with the CEO and internal stakeholders to shape product strategy and define the future of software development at Ally
Drive UI/UX decisions to create a frictionless shipper experience across web-based tools and integrations
Build and maintain strong integrations with internal systems, carriers, and third-party logistics tools
Make pragmatic technical decisions that balance speed, quality, and long-term scalability
Monitor production systems, identify issues, and proactively improve stability and performance
Continuously iterate based on customer feedback, operational insights, and business priorities
Bring clarity to ambiguity by breaking down complex problems into actionable solutions and shipping quickly
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in logistics, such as: Freight brokerage, 3PL / 4PL, Carrier operations, Transportation management systems (TMS), Dispatch, compliance, or ops roles
Proven ability to build and ship full-stack applications using Replit or other vibe coding platforms
Experience owning projects independently with minimal oversight
Strong understanding of how logistics workflows actually operate
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours a week
Experience managing business priorities and the intersection of the business and its technology
