Responsibilities
Configure and extend Guidewire PolicyCenter to support P&C insurance product and underwriting needs
Act as a key interface between client stakeholders and Deloitte delivery teams
Translating business requirements into PolicyCenter configuration and technical design (including product model, rules/workflows, and Gosu-based extensions)
Collaborating across integrations, data, and adjacent Guidewire components as needed
Continuously strengthen your PolicyCenter expertise
Remain open to coaching
Contribute to team development by supporting and mentoring junior practitioners
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
4+ years consulting and/or relevant insurance industry experience (P&C, Life & Annuity/Group, Commercial, Specialty)
4+ years implementing insurance core platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, Origami or similar)
4yrs full lifecycle large-scale implementations (Policy, Billing, and/or Claims systems)
4 yrs of experience working in one of the following sub service areas: Insurance Products, Underwriting, Claims, Billing & Payments, Policy Administration or Distribution
1 year experience estimating and planning Large Scale System Implementations
2 years of experience managing at least one large Business Integration effort and project team through all phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, and testing
Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred
Advanced degree in area of technical specialization
CPCU, AIC, ARM Certification
Guidewire Integration or Configuration certification
4 years experience with Guidewire Cloud Claims migration
Experience delivering via an Agile/Scrum methodology
A strong Java, Gosu (Guidewire), EJB, BPEL, UNIX background
Experience with Business Process Modeling (BPM) tools, Business rules integration
Experience with technologies like BEA, Sonic, IBM, Oracle, Apache ServiceMix, FuseESB, Camel, Mule etc
Strong knowledge and comprehension of standards, specifications, standards bodies (e.g., XML, UDDI, JMS, Web services, etc.)
Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
