Director of Operations
The Conair Group is part of the Piovan Group, a leading manufacturer of process cooling equipment and systems. The Operations Director is responsible for managing manufacturing operations, ensuring product quality and efficiency while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
Oversee all manufacturing operations, including production scheduling, material management, inventory control, assembly, quality, and facility management
Establish and manage operational standards for cost control, resource utilization, productivity, and quality to consistently meet organizational performance goals
Drive Lean initiatives and 6-S practices to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance workplace organization and visualization
Implement continuous improvement programs focused on safety, quality, and throughput
Direct and coordinate activities related to sourcing, production, stocking, and delivery/distribution of products
Review financial statements, production reports, and performance data to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement
Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Product Management to support new product development and ensure manufacturability
Mentor, coach, and develop team members; build a culture of engagement and accountability
Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Lead performance and behavior management processes to reduce risk and maintain a positive work environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
10+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing production operations
Proven experience implementing Lean manufacturing principles and 6-S methodology
Strong background in mechanical and electrical assembly, sheet metal fabrication, and welding
Experience managing union workforce
Demonstrated ability to lead changes, improve processes, and deliver measurable results
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
