As the Payroll Coordinator, you will assist with the company’s payroll system, oversee the Time & Labor system, and ensure the efficient processing of employee checks while maintaining payroll records and preparing reports.

Responsibilities
Processing payroll: Responsible for processing timesheets, updating payroll records and answering employee questions about payments
Adherence to payroll policies: Review payroll procedures and provide guidance to employees on the specifics of those policies
Compliance: Ensure all payroll transactions comply with employment standards
Record-keeping: Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions
Reporting: Prepare and distribute payroll reports to managers and stakeholders
Issue resolution: Resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues
Tax forms: Assist in employee tax forms, such as W-2s
Coordination with HR: Work closely with HR regarding changes in payroll (e.g. terminations, new hires)
Audits: Conduct audits and verifications of payroll records
Employee support: Answer employee questions and concerns regarding payroll
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a payroll coordinator or similar role
Good knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., Federal and State Labor Laws)
Strong analytical and numerical skills and comfortable with Excel
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Diploma/BSc/BA in accounting, finance, or a relevant field
Preferred
Familiarity with payroll processes and software, recommended experience, Paylocity, but not required
