Required

Bachelor of Science in Engineering required
15+ years of nuclear engineering or related experience, with significant expertise in plant operations and engineering project management
Ability to apply nuclear industry standards and regulations for new situations
Has management skills for facilitation of team actions for problem solving including conflict resolution to assure progress
Provides leadership for large-scale nuclear projects, coordinates multidisciplinary engineering teams, and resolves high-stakes technical challenges
Specialized Engineering Functions: Electrical/I&C Engineering: Power systems, ladder logic, safe shutdown analysis, computational tools (ETAP, EDISON)
Mechanical Engineering: Pumps, valves, heat exchangers, pipe stress analysis, ASME standards
Civil/Structural Engineering: Seismic qualification, pipe supports, GT Strudel, welding, rigging
MOV Valve Engineering: Diagnostics, troubleshooting, valve program management

Preferred

PE preferred, may substitute for degree
Advanced experience with expertise in 10CFR50.59, ASME code and regulatory compliance standards, NSCA shutdown analysis, and project oversight preferred
Experience with ladder logic, electrical schematics, NSCA/safe shutdown analysis (Appendix R/NFPA 805), power systems analysis (load flow, short circuit analysis, arc flash, coordination studies) as well as computational tools such as ETAP, EDISON, etc. is highly preferred, but not required
Prior experience as a cognizant/oversight engineer or engineering project management is also preferred but not required
Experience with NextEra Energy or Florida Power & Light nuclear power plants (Seabrook, Point Beach, St Lucie, Turkey Point) is also highly preferred, but not required
