Responsibilities
Build, enhance, and support core billing and invoicing services using C# (and PHP in parts of the stack)
Take a leading role in technical design and architectural decisions
Review code, guide best practices, and help raise the bar for quality and performance
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture
Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and deployment workflows
Implement and refine monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system reliability
Optimize database design and queries to support growing merchant and transaction volumes
Design systems with security, compliance, and data protection in mind (PCI, OWASP, etc.)
Partner closely with Product, QA, and other engineering teams to deliver features end-to-end
Troubleshoot production issues and support escalations when needed
Evaluate tools, frameworks, and approaches that improve scalability and developer productivity
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional software development experience
Strong hands-on experience with C#/.NET (PHP experience is a plus)
Solid understanding of object-oriented design, APIs, and system architecture
Experience working with databases and performance optimization
Background building or supporting scalable, distributed systems
Familiarity with secure software development in regulated environments
Comfortable working in an agile, collaborative team
Ability to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions
Experience maintaining and improving existing systems with evolving requirements
Preferred
Payments, billing, invoicing, or financial systems experience
Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, New Relic, Logz, etc.)
CI/CD automation and cloud-based deployments
