They are seeking a strategic, innovative, and mission-driven Partnerships Manager to grow earned revenue and create partnerships that connect businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders with their journalism.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain trust-based partnerships with businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders across Tarrant County
Develop creative marketing and sponsorship campaigns that align with FWR’s mission and Vision 2030 goals, including community engagement events, newsletters, branded content, and digital platforms
Use audience insights and data to demonstrate impact, optimize campaigns, and deepen partner investment
Collaborate across teams (editorial, audience, development, and operations) to deliver effective campaigns that exceed client expectations
Prospect, pitch, and close partnerships that drive FWR toward its 2030 sustainability goals: Expanding reach into underserved communities. Growing earned revenue toward $1 million annually from sponsorships and promotions. Supporting initiatives that strengthen civic participation and community connection
Represent Fort Worth Report at community events, forums, and partner gatherings

Required

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales or partnership revenue goals
3+ years of experience in sales, partnerships, business development, or marketing (digital media or nonprofit experience a plus)
Strong understanding of digital marketing, audience engagement, and branded content
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and collaborative
Proficiency with CRM and productivity tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent)
Familiarity with project management and collaboration platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, Airtable, etc.)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience — we value skills and results over credentials
Must reside in the Fort Worth/Tarrant County area with reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and insurance
